In the Middle of the Trek

In The Middle of Trek

I put my hand to the plow
and I’m not turning back.
I made a vow to the Lord
and my vow’s still intact.

I’m on a journey and I’ve many miles to go.
Answered the Savior who came knocking at my door.
He laid before me the path that leads to life.
It is quite narrow and filled with sacrifice.

and I’m not looking back.

Verse B

I put my hand to the plow
and I’m not turning back.
I made a vow to the Lord
and my vow’s still intact.

a heart fully persuaded and transfixed upon the goal.
Like Paul I run this race and I intend to win…
shaking off the excess weight of vanity and sin.

I put my shoulder to the wheel and my face to the wind.
I have no weapons to conceal for I’ve placed my trust in Him.

There’s a lesson that I’ve learned that the truth can’t be suppressed…
that the fire of the Lord is a flame that can’t be quenched.
