Heavenly Father, we come before You today to ask Your forgiveness and seek Your direction and guidance. Lord, we know Your Word says, "Woe to those who call evil good," but that's exactly what we've done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and inverted our values.

We confess that we have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it moral pluralism.

We have worshipped other gods and called it multi-culturalism.

We have endorsed perversion and called it an alternative lifestyle.

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have neglected the needy and called it self-preservation.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building esteem.

We have abused power and called it political savvy.

We have coveted our neighbors' possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our fore-fathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us oh God and know our hearts today; try us and see if there be some wicked way in us; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.

Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent here by the people of Kansas, and who have been ordained by You, to govern this great state. Grant them Your wisdom to rule and may their decisions direct us to the center of Your will. I ask it in the name of Your Son, the Living Savior, Jesus Christ.

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks. Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques. Quote: 'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.'

Hi Everyone,

We are back in the studio working on a new solo album featuring our keyboard player, and also my wife Ann Jerry. This will be a worship album, with a mellow sound to it. Quite a change from our last project. We hope to have it out this fall.

One of the members of my congregation recently sent me this article via E-mail. I am not sure where it came from, but whoever wrote it, my hat is off to you. I thought it was so good I wanted to share it with you.

A recent Newsweek magazine poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy at the direction in which the country is headed, and 69 percent are unhappy with the performance of the President. In essence, two-thirds of the citizenry just ain't happy, and want a change.

So, being the knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, ''what are we so unhappy about?''

Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heat in the winter?  Could it be that 95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job?  Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time and see more food in moments, than Darfur has seen in the last year?

Maybe it is the ability to drive from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without having to present identification papers as we move through each state? Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe hotels and motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter?

I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough.

 Or could it be that when we wreck our cars, emergency workers show up and provide services to help all involved. Whether you are rich or poor they treat your injuries and even, if necessary, send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.

Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who own a home. You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top-notch equipment to extinguish the flames thus saving you, your family, and your belongings.

Or if, while you are at home watching one of your many flat-screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes, an officer equipped with a gun and a protective vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss. This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents.  Neighborhoods where 90 percent of teenagers own cell phones and computers.

How about the complete religious, social, and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world?

Maybe that is what has 67 percent of our folks unhappy.

Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen.

 No wonder the world loves the U.S., yet has a great disdain for its citizens. They see us for what we are: The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don't have, and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good lord we live here. Start being grateful for all we have as a country.  There is exponentially more good than bad.

WE ARE THE MOST BLESSED PEOPLE ON EARTH, WE SHOULD THANK GOD SEVERAL TIMES EVERY DAY~!!!!!

Perilous Times 

If you claim to be a Christian, and cannot recognize that we are living in perilous times, then I believe you are simply in denial. 

 (2 Timothy 3:1 NKJV)  But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 

Even as I am writing this book, the worst shooting on a U.S. campus has taken place. On Monday, April 16^th, 2007 a 23 year old student at Virginia Tech University gunned down 33 fellow students and professors in cold lood. 

According to the national news media, there have now been over forty such shootings on U.S. highschool and college university campuses. Is a matter of fact, this has become so common that we have nearly become numb to it.  The sad reality lies in the fact that so many of these incidents take place every year now, that the national media doesn’t even consider it headline worthy unless the body count reaches massacre proportions. 

Blame It On the Guns  Guns do not kill, people do, but ever since the tragedy that took place at Columbine High School, in Colorado, the media simply uses these shootings as an opportunity to tout their gun control agenda.

 It never seems to occur to these people, that if more people actually carried guns to defend themselves from demon possessed lunatics, more lives could be spared. Notice that these cowards never go shooting up police stations or army base. Like their cowardly father the devil, they prey on the innocent who cannot defend themselves. Then once the devil has manifested himself through them by killing and satisfying his thirst for blood, he leads them to end their own life. 

Foxhole Religion It always amazes me that our nation is quick to mention prayer and God when tragedy strikes, but just as quick to deny Him once we feel we don’t need Him any longer. We can’t seem to come to grips with the reality that we are reaping exactly what we have sown. We tell God that He is not welcome in our universities, or public schools. We allow people to use our public airwaves to mock and blaspheme His holy name, and then we have the audacity to ask Him why He allows these tragedies to happen? 

When Moral Mush Turns Sour  Our nation is simply beginning to manifest exactly what it has been taught for over thirty years. Ever since we removed the Bible and prayer from our class rooms we have witnessed a steady decline in the moral fiber of our nation, while at the same time crime has skyrocketed.

 The secular media will never admit this because they would have to also admit that their Secular Humanistic doctrine has served to bring one of the greatest nations in history to the brink of absolute ruin.

People are simply living by the moral values that they have been taught in our universities, and public schools. Should we be shocked that people do not value life, when they have been constantly bombarded with the secular worldview that tells them that there is no God, and that life really has no other purpose than the here and now?

 Why should we be so shocked when someone would so ruthlessly take the innocent lives of those who are seemingly so helpless, when we have so many who willfully promote, and even glorify the blatant murder of nearly fifty million unborn children through the holocaust of abortion.  

The blood of our children is on the hands of our nation because we have allowed this bloody slaughter to continue, and now the enemy has been given an open door to attack this generation. We are reaping exactly what we have sown, and unless we turn from our sin, and repent this tragedy will continue, and even escalate.

 (Galatians 6:7-8 GWT)  Make no mistake about this: You can never make a fool out of God. Whatever you plant is what you'll harvest. {8} If you plant in your corrupt nature, you will harvest destruction. But if you plant in  your spiritual nature, you will harvest everlasting life.  

There are two very different worlds concerning the war on terror. The first is the dream world that most of the people who are opposed to the war in Iraq seem to live in, and then there is the real world.

I have yet to hear any of the Bush bashing, America blaming critics of this war offer one realistic solution to dealing with terrorism. Instead they imagine that the policies of the United States are the reason there are terrorists, and that we are somehow ultimately to blame for the actions of these people.

This is at best naïve, and demonstrates a truly unrealistic understanding of the goal of the various groups we are dealing with.

Some on the far left believe that the United States is the actual terrorist regime, and even go so far as to call our president a murderer. I believe this type of speech is unpatriotic, undermines our troops, and is absolutely deplorable.

We should be able to clearly see what happens when we refuse to engage groups, and governments of the Mideast that are clearly engaged in terrorist activities.

The U.N. has basically done nothing to stop Hezbollah, Iran, or any other group for that matter. Therefore someone must engage these regimes, and they must engage them militarily. These are not people who will negotiate for peace, as they do not want peace. Radical Islam is like a rabid dog, which cannot be reasoned with, no matter how sincere our intentions.

Islamic terrorists will stop at nothing to achieve their objectives, (which includes the murder of peaceful Muslims).

The true goal of radical fascists Islam is to rule the world for Allah. The hatred that is instilled in these people from the time of birth is beyond anything the average American can even comprehend. They are taught to hate America, ‘The Great Satan,’ and to hate Israel, ‘The Little Satan.’ This is why they embrace death for the sake of what they believe to be the will of Allah.

Unfortunately, many in the west believe that we should try to placate these groups, or give them economic incentives to discontinue their terrorist activities. This simply will never work.

Israel seems to be the only country that truly understands radical Islam, and how to deal with it. This is because Israel’s very survival depends upon demolishing these regimes rather that placating them.

I cannot imagine people accusing president Roosevelt of creating Nazis during WWII, or demonstrating against our invasion of Normandy. This is because they understood who the true enemy was. It’s time that those of you who are so opposed to this administration to come to the same realization.

I am sure that nearly anyone who pays the least attention to the social climate of our nation would agree that we have been engaged in an ever-increasing cultural confrontation since the early 1960s.

This conflict centers around two very opposite worldviews. By worldview I am referring to a set of learned values and beliefs that determine how we look at life, and thereby draw our conclusions, and make our decisions.

The first worldview that has become increasingly prevalent in our society is that of secular moral relativism.

Advocates of this worldview believe that the world, and all that is in it consists of only matter, and that truth is not absolute or objective, but rather subjective, (that is subject to personal opinion or interpretation).

However, our nation was founded upon a much different Biblical Christian worldview, not a secular one. This worldview maintains that Almighty God created not only the world, but also established this nation. The Biblical world view maintains that human persons are unique, and of great worth because we were created in the image of God, and not as the result of mere chance.

This view is clearly evident in our constitution, laws, and form of government itself.

A Newsweek article, published March 29, 1999 had this to say concerning the influence of Christianity upon our society. “By any secular standard, Jesus is also the dominant figure of western culture. Like the millennium itself, much of what we now think of as Western ideas, inventions and values finds its source or inspiration in the religion that worships God in his name. Art and science, the self and society, politics and economics, marriage and the family, right and wrong, body and soul-all have been touched and often radically transformed by Christian influence.”

Unfortunately there is a relentless attempt by some to transform our nation into a totally secular society.

Perhaps we should ask ourselves if we see any similarities between what is happening in our culture today, and the following words of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, who suffered under the brutality of the former Soviet Union. “Communism has never concealed the fact that it rejects all absolute concepts of morality. It scoffs at good and evil as indisputable categories. Communism considers morality to be relative. Depending upon circumstances, any act, including the killing of thousands, could be good or bad. It all depends upon class ideology; defined by a handful of people…It is considered awkward to use seriously such words as good and evil. But if we are to be deprived of these concepts, what will be left? We will be declined to the status of animals.”

This secular worldview is exactly what is driving fetal stem cell research, cloning, abortion, along with our increasingly liberal judicial system.

Groups like the ACLU, and The Freedom From Religion Foundation are spending millions of dollars to use the courts to systematically destroy our religious freedoms. They have twisted the first amendment to persuade us that the founding fathers actually erected a wall to keep Christianity out of government. They know they cannot achieve this through due process of the legislative branch, so they pervert justice by using the courts.

Noah Webster, one of our nations founding fathers, best known as the author of Webster’s Dictionary said, “In every condition of life, and in forming your opinions on every subject, let it be an established principle regulating your conduct, that nothing can be honorable which is morally wrong. Men who disregard or disbelieve revelation often err from the true standard of honor, by substituting public opinion of false maxims for divine laws. The character of God, his holy attributes, perfect law constitute the only models and rules of excellence and true honor. Whatever deviates from these rules must be wrong, and dishonorable…all the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible.” Noah Webster was in essence saying that God’s laws must govern our lives, and our nation.

For more than fifty years our country has witnessed an escalating abandonment of the   absolute moral commandments of the Bible, in favor of moral relativism. Those who hold this position constantly tell us that our founding fathers were deists, and atheists, who intended our nation to be governed as a secular country, sighting radical Muslim nations, to illustrate the oppressive nature of religion.

While I can’t deny that much evil has been perpetrated in the name of God. To suggest that government and society as a whole is better off if left solely to man’s own choosing, is not only the pinnacle of human arrogance, but the denial of God, and our nations heritage.

We must deny the evidence of history, to draw the erroneous conclusion that religion is responsible for man’s woes. The worst atrocities in history have not been carried out by a religious people, but by those who imagined themselves to be answerable to no higher power than themselves. Adolph Hitler, Mao Tse-tung, and Roman emperors, butchered millions upon millions because they believed man to be the highest moral authority.

Human pride has led many to reject the moral absolutes of the Bible, and create a god of their own making. A god they can manipulate to agree with whatever they want to justify, no matter how twisted or perverse.

Unwittingly they have even named this human idol, ‘The god of Tolerance.’ To invoke this god, followers merely recite the sacred words, “To me god is...” And presto, their god is ready and willing to conform to whatever they want him/her or it to become at that moment. Sadly, this god only exists in their imagination.

“We see everyday that our imaginations are so strong and our reason so weak, the charms of wealth and power are so enchanting, and the belief of future punishments so faint that men find ways to persuade themselves to believe any absurdity, to submit to any prostitution, rather than forego their wishes and desires. Their reason becomes at last an eloquent advocate on the side of their passions, and [they] bring themselves to believe that black is white, that vice is virtue, that folly is wisdom and eternity a moment…” John Adams, 1772, our second U.S. President. May this nation humble itself and turn back to the God of the Bible, to whom we owe our liberty, and very lives.

There is an ever-growing concern within our country about the increase of sexual predators, and rightly so. As I understand, there are around one million convicted sexual offenders roaming the U.S. today, and many of these are unaccounted for by law enforcement agencies.           

As I have listened to various officials and psychologists grapple with just how to deal with this problem, there seems to be one glaring omission from this whole discussion. The affects of pornography, and its ever-increasing destruction of our society.           

Serial killer Ted Bundy, in an interview with Dr. James Dobson, January 23, 1989 said, “I’ve lived in prison a long time now and I’ve met allot of men who were motivated to commit violence. Without exception, every one of them was deeply involved in pornography-deeply consumed by the addiction. The F.B.I.s own study on serial homicide shows that the most common interest among serial killers is pornography. It’s true.” 

Psychiatrist Jeffery Satinover likened the affects of pornography on the brain to that of heroin and cigarettes. “It is time to stop regarding it **** as a simple form of expression. Modern science allows us to understand that the underlying nature of an addiction to pornography is chemically, nearly identical to a heroin addiction.” Source “Porn Like Heroin in the Brain” Family News in Focus, Nov. 19, 2004. 

Pornography is big business. The **** industry generates about $57 billion dollars per year. That’s more than the combined revenue of ABC, CBS, and NBC. Of that 57 billion, $3 billion is generated by child pornography annually. 4.2 million pornographic Web sites reside on the internet. (21% of all web sites.) 372 million pages of pornographic material fill the internet. Internet users request 68 million pornographic searches each day. (25% of all search engine requests). 2.5 billion pornographic e-mails go out daily. (8% of total e-mails). This equals about 4.5 pornographic  e-mails per internet user per day. 100,000 Web sites currently offer illegal child pornography. 

One in five children, ages 10 to 17 who regularly use the internet have received a sexual solicitation while on line, and one in four was unwillingly exposed to naked people, or people involved in sexual acts while on line. Add to this the barrage of sexually explicit materials that are constantly peddled to Americans via movies, TV programs and commercials, videos games and magazines, and one can clearly see that we are facing a major epidemic. 

The **** industry today has all the trappings of a legitimate industry, with its own convention, and trade publication. It holds marketing and legal seminars, and even has its own lobbyist. Even companies like Time Warner, and Marriot are making millions selling ****. This relentless barrage of filth is slowly suffocating us.

Today **** is shrewdly packaged so as to make it more consumer friendly, thus soft pormis supposed to be acceptable for public viewing, anywhere by nearly anyone. Just watch an NFL football game. The commercials are laden with all the sleaze they can possibly squeeze on the air. And then they reassure us that this stuff is legitimate for public airwaves by adding the phrase, “Viewer discretion advised.” What this really means is any thing goes! 

The **** industry no longer calls their perversion ****. That’s a word that carries some social stigma. Now we call it Adult Entertainment. What does this say to youth today? Hey kids, when you turn 18 you can legally become a pervert! Talk about your adult role models! What about the fashion industry? Wow! What is the driving influence behind the rage among young ladies to expose just as much of their bodies as possible?

The **** influence on the fashion industry has lead to this rage of belly shirts and sleazy skintight clothing among America’s teens.  Just take a look at the likes of Brittney Spears, Janet Jackson, and others, and you will find your answer. These performers dress like hookers, and then use the media to try to make us believe that this is just good clean wholesome entertainment.  

For instance, my family and I were at a kid’s movie this summer in Duluth. When we came out of the theatre a college aged young lady had her skirt unbuttoned in the front, and pulled down so low she was nearly exposing herself. We literally felt visually assaulted by this. I only regret that I did not confront her, along with her boyfriend. As we were leaving the theatre I was so mad I told my wife that if that was my daughter I would have whipped her rear-end, and then I would have whipped her boy friend as well! But then what do we expect from the youth of this nation, when the adult population is constantly telling them sleazy is in!  

It’s time for us to get real about this blight of perversion, and begin telling business owners to pull this filth from their shelves, and demand a return to decency on our airwaves.  While it is almost impossible to entirely protect our kids from this stuff, we as parents need to start at home. One of the saddest commentaries on this whole dilemma is the passive parenting that is going on in all too many homes.  

Many parents allow their kids to watch filthy R rated movies, and listen to music with lyrics that would make a sailor blush. If dad & mom are into ****, why wouldn’t the kids follow in their steps? If parents see nothing wrong with this behavior, neither will they. Prior to the introduction of the 1960’s mantra of “do what you will” we lived by standards of absolute morality. Are we better off as a nation since we have abandoned these standards? The verdict is in, and the answer is evident to all who would see. No we are not!
