Biography PYRAMID was one of Chicago’s most popular and successful secular bands in the 80’s and 90’s; together for over 15 years, PYRAMID played many area clubs and “fests”, and later in their career served as opening acts for many national artists as they visited Chicagoland. PYRAMID routinely was the opening act for Blood, Sweat and Tears and Billy Preston. The band broke up in the mid 90’s and each one went their separate way – personally, professionally, musically and spiritually. About one year ago through a curious set of circumstances, four of the five original members of the band discovered that they had all become believers and were now playing in their church’s praise and worship bands. There is no question that the reformation of this band is not simply coincidence. So, they decided to “. . get the band back together” – only this time as a Christian band with a definitive ministry of music toward building and serving God’s Kingdom.
PYRAMID's incredible 4-part vocal style is as solid as ever. Their music incorporates a growing list of original Contemporary Christian songs. Their songs run the gamet from rock to salsa, from blues to simple praise and worship. Influenced by artists such as Chris Tomlin, Third Day, Petra and the Eagles, PYRAMID's music is great to listen to, sing along with and be inspired by. The members of PYRAMID are: Jim Kozma, Joe Drick, Wayne Walsh and Jim Richards. You can reach them at THEGUYS@PYRAMIDAGAIN.COM |
