Song Information:

I wrote this song back in the early 80's when I was in a band called Nelson Person. We were a guitar-driven rock band. I loved the melody. I think the name of the song was 'take you out for a drive tohnight' . . Anyway, when I got saved I was doing a bunch of youth camps, leading worship and I saw kids coming forward to accept the Lord in droves. That inspired the lyric rewrite. It was written to appeal to the kid that didn't come forward. I began playing the song at the camps after kids came forward during the afterglow time. Hopefully, it ministered to those that needed a little more encouragement . .
