The Sonflowerz - the all-female rock worship band from Colorado Springs, Colorado, have been doing music ministry since 1999.  Sisters Elissa and Becca blend their original music, smooth harmonies, and acoustic-rock edge for a combination drawing audiences of all ages.

"It's been an incredible journey since we began as a local worship band, all of us young teenagers!," says Becca.  They now travel full-time throughout the U.S. and Europe with both full-length albums "You Remain" and "Alive In You", distributed by Integrity Europe.  "Our primary goals as a ministry are simple: To worship God and direct others to do the same; to set an example to the young generation to live unashamed for Christ."

The Sonflowerz ministry isn't centered around personality and image, but around the songs and message of each song. Take a listen to their 2nd studio album "Alive In You" (recently featured in July 2006's issue of CCM - see below) and you'll come to know their heart as a band. The theme of the album is being alive in Christ, from Ephesians 2:4-5. Songwriter, lead vocalist and guitarist, Elissa, writes from the personal place of a worshiper. Since beginning her journey as a songwriter at age 14, and developing that through graduating from Berklee School of Music, Elissa's natural gift for writing is evident through lyrics that challenge and inspire.
