Biography
somethingABOUTnothing are a 3 piece rock band from Tunbridge Wells, Kent Starting out as 3 lads messing around in Lukes attic, over the summer of 2004, somethingABOUTnothing have come far in a short time. They recorded their first EP, Temporarily On Pause, at the end of that year, and then 2005 saw things move up a few gears. The band welcomed Jade Ware-Jarrett, another bass player, to give somethingABOUTnothing their individual and distinctive sound, and with this unusual line-up, they took the band to a new and improved level. Throughout 2005 the band played at several gigs the highlight, performing in front of David and Carrie Grant at the huge Grassrootz Festival, receiving plenty of compliments, praise and encouragement to move forward even further. August 2005 saw them returning to the recording studio to record the new EP "What Will You Say?", which was released to the world at the beginning of November 05. "So Much It's Too Much", harks back to a time when Noel Gallagher could actually write decent songs and Oasis were one of the most important bands on the planet they do crank it up to 11 when the pace requires it and given the right producer, these guys could go very far indeed. (Review by Cross Rhythms Feb 2006) And 2006 started off with a bang well a Big Bang to be precise supporting Dweeb at The Big Bang in Hastings. Some more dates were booked for July The H3 Festival and another trip down to Hastings to support Superhero and with airplay on the Cross Rhythms radio show Rock And A Hard Place interest is mounting very quickly. And just to round August of nicely -Greenbelt Festival - Stage 2 - Battle of the bands - we won that . 2007 saw the band moving forward even further with welcome returns to a number of fav places including H3 and Greenbelt. The end of the year saw Simon leave the band to pursue new exciting opportunities. somethingABOUTnothing are: Jon Norgate: Lead Vocals Jade Ware Jarrett: Bass Luke Harper: Drums and Backing Vocals
