Charcoal Skies

Song Information:

This song was written at a time when I was emerging from a period of drought in my own Christian journey, and the image of the sun emerging from a cloudy sky was a powerful one in helping me to express how I felt about it at the time. It works on more than once level, however. As it makes no specific mention of God or Jesus, others have commented to me on the power of the imagery for them in coming through any kind of dark or stressful experience and back into the "light" of their normal lives.
