Written at a time when John felt distant from God through sin and temptation. He felt lonely, alone and spiritually dead.

John says "I hadn't been reading my bible or going to church. I felt guilty about my sin an the things I found myself doing were un christianlike. I started questioning my faith. yet even in this dark time God never left me instead he inspired me to write a song to him in which a layed my feelings bare. as I picked up my bible again I began realising that I was trying so hard to be a good and uprite person in my own streanght that the exact opposite was happening.

I picked up my Bible and as I read through the bible I saw that righhtousness comes from God alone and that I needed to rely on His Streantgh to fight the temptations of this world."

John feels that being a christian is never easy but realise he can overcome anything if he looks to God for streangth.
