Shaun Griffiths is a 35 year old musician, singer and songwriter, originally from New Zealand, but now living in England with his wife and their infant son.

Shaun started singing and playing musical instruments when he was five years old. He was playing in church music groups from an early age, and toured with a New Zealand band, Certain Sounds. After studying for a Bachelor of Music in Composition, Shaun worked as the part-time Music Director for a church in New Zealand.

It was during this time that two of his worship songs (co-written with his wife) were used by The Parachute Band (a New Zealand Worship Band, now partnering with Integrity Music) on a couple of their albums; these songs were subsequently used on a number of international worship albums (including albums from Kingsway Music).

Shaun continues to compose songs worship songs, plus other Christian songs and secular songs, too using his home studio (which he says is rather limited and quite frustrating!). He plays keyboards, bass, drums, guitar (acoustic and electric), sings, harmonises, writes songs and records them. All instruments and voices heard on You Are Holy and his other demos are Shauns.

Worshipping God is one of his favourite things to do. "Worshipping God is simply part of who I am. I could not stop if I wanted to. Song writing is also part of who I am and I cant stop writing songs either. Combine the two (and maybe one day a decent home studio) and I couldnt be happier, especially if Indian food is also on the dinner menu!"

When he's not writing songs, Shaun can be found either working at a local Hindi speaking Christian radio station as the Head Technician (CVC The Voice Asia www.thevoiceasia.com), or occasionally working in a recording studio as a music programmer / sound engineer.
