Hi Everyone. It was back in June when I went from full time work to part time so I could concentrate more on my music. It’s been a challenging time but God has been opening doors, blessing us and others. God is teaching me to be patient and wait on Him- not easy! I feel God wants me to be faithful in the small things so I’ve been connecting with what’s going on in my local area- youth events, café outreach, singing around different churches and doing the odd concert. I’ve also been doing some open mike nights, which is great for taking songs of faith into a non church environment. I plan to do more! Back in June I joined other Christian musicians at the Crossover youth festival. It was good to meet other musicians doing a similar thing. In August I returned to Room 65 to do 3 nights: a café outreach event running during the Edinburgh festival. On the 3rd of September I was in my home church, Haddington West, in East Lothian, where I shared some songs and asked for prayer, encouragement and support. The 9th of September was a slightly bigger event- Praise in the Park 06, where I did a couple of acoustic sets in between other Scottish artists. It was a lovely sunny day, which was fortunate for the runners involved in the 10k run, raising money for Tearfund. More recently, I was in Dumfries singing at a youth event. I felt like a teenager again! I also sang at a baptism recently where a whole family took the plunge! It was great to be part of such a God honoring event, which was a powerful witness to the local community. Just this week I shared some songs at a local fellowship group attended by people from different churches. God spoke powerfully about taking time out to listen to God, something I think we all find hard to do at times! As well as the above, I plan to host more concerts, first locally and then wherever God takes the music! If you’re reading this and you live in Edinburgh/Lothian’s (or anywhere else for that matter) and you would like to host a concert, I’d love to hear from you. Keep checking my christianbands and myspace page for dates.( Web page- have had a few problems with my website recently but hope to have it sorted soon.) Brenda and Chloe are fine and I thank God for their support and putting up with my impatience! Chloe is now walking and talking a little. She’s great fun but trying at times!! Whilst recording my album last year, I got the opportunity to do an interview with Moody Radio in Chicago (thanks Alex). If you would like to hear this interview, look up Primetime America in google, go to audio archives and select the date 10/03/2006. Have a listen! The album “The Hard Road” has been received well and I’ve made a start on my next album, although I still have a few songs to write for the album. It’s exiting to have a new project and see it develop! A few points for prayer-
