I hear something new each time I listen to this song. Very memorable too. :) Shalom, Susan of Jubilee Gospel Trio

This quartet - the trio and their Imaginary Friend - is one blessed union of beautiful voices and instruments. The song Bridges shows it perfectly. With blessings, Alex (AVOX)

Loved the song. Very easy to listen to, but also has a bit of meaning, which I like. Don\'t like songs to be too obscure. Would love to hear more. Well done.

Wow: classic Imaginary Friend! Love the punch lines; the ears and the eyes, kool or what.

There's so much to this song, there's no way I can get it all in, but musically, I think there's just so much there! I take something new from it in terms of sound every time I hear it. The chorus reminds me of Radiohead with a twist of Damien Rice and something altogether YOU (I hope you take that as a compliment!) Every layer/instrument conveys the message of the song as much as the lyrics. And I love the crescendo! It's definately one of the most musically expressive songs I've ever heard on the mCB's site. Yes, it's melancholy, but I love it! (Is that an oxymoron?) Love beth x

Falling Down – was a bit challenging to me at the first time, but then in a few days I came back to it and got into it deeper and finally even relaxed in it, though the subject of the song is not easy. It starts slowly and gloomy, like a person with the heavy burden of sins trying to move on and feeling weak and unable to make a step forward, still the ‘character’ and the song move on with effort – don’t stop if you have chosen to follow Jesus! – and, like a sweet but firm encouragement, the soaring flute comes flying above the gravitating cello – the heavenly confirmation that the efforts shall not be wasted. The cello very aptly accompanies the intimate leading vocals even when it creates the deliberate dissonances. Some more reverberation might have added a deeper sound, though the slight lack of it is fully compensated with the impressive and well done alternations between the quiet and loud parts of this heartfelt song.

Hi Steve, I haven't been on the site for a while. I love your new song. The guitar is very strong and clear. The cello sounds great. The music in general is very soothing and the lyrics comforting. Please keep the songs coming. Lynne

Hi Steve! It's a very beautiful song and very much in the IF's style, already recognizable, but this time more peaceful and less challenging. The recording is basically ok. IMO, Cev's voice needs a bit more reverb, especially when he takes highest notes closer to the song's end, maybe the reverb like that of the strings would be good - the strings sound very well! The supporting vocals are very good too, but the lead vocal needs more careful, flexible volume balance (it should be louder at times, I think). These remarks are just my opinion, I understand you have your own vision of it. I like the song anyway :-). As for the general volume level (you said it's quiet), you could process it with Sound Forge or other similar sound editor (normalization with compression). With blessings to you and all IF, you do it great! Alex (AVOX)
