Biography "He was on the darkest road..." (opening line of Show Them Where to Begin, Track 13 on' Undercover'.) Seems an appropriate start to describe the roller coaster journey of David Gibbs. Classical guitar lessons at age 7, followed with self taught piano, aided by his older sister. He had stacks of secular songs collecting dust, "As far back as I can remember." Raised in southern Michigan in the 60's and 70's,, his lifestyle has been influenced all over the map. He has worked with various bands, but always felt "at home" writing solo material. He eventually settled in the great state of Texas. That once dark road, has become a well-lit pathway that the Lord leads him down step by step. The Lord Jesus Christ has given him a ton of songs recently, some of which are on 'Undercover', and many others waiting in the wings for future projects. His music is aimed at encouraging everyone...(You are not alone!...Read the Word.) He has a burden for Christians and nonbelievers alike and hopes that the testimonies of his songs would re-enforce their faith. |
