Hi my name is James Veira. I live in Norfolk with my wife Moira, we have been married 15 years and have 4 kids - Thomas, Elizabeth, Naomi and Ruth. I started leading worship in church when I was about 20 but didn't start writing and using my own songs until about 1998. I absolutely love leading worship. I usually pray for a song or 2 to start with and ask God to give me more as I go along which He invariably does. I see my role as a worship leader as responding to the Spirit and doing what I see the Father do. It's a joy to see, and to be a part of helping people respond to God in worship. I took a step of faith in 2005 and went self employed - working 3 days a week with the intention of starting up my own business on the other 2 days. This coincided with discovering Christian bands.co.uk and while God took care of the finances it gave me the time to start recording the worship songs I had written over the previous 8 years and post them up to the site to share. I am not sure where to go with the music, my heart is to share what God has given me because I believe it will bless the church (oh that sounds so big headed!) I am not looking for fame and fortune - I'm too shy and modest! I know that finding the site and being freed up to record the songs wasn't a coincidence - I'm just being obedient to what I feel God is giving me to do and praying for the next step - whatever that may be!
